The group Lafuente was born in Barcelona in 1951. From then on, three generations of the family Lafuente has put to our clients’ disposition the best marks of wines, liquors, foamy and distilled national and international. With more than a century of experience, our philosophy continues being based on offering the maximum quality and the best service possible and we work with the same illusion of the first day.
At the moment, the group Lafuente is composed of six stores, four of them in different neighborhoods of Barcelona (in Johann Sebastian Bach, 20; Fontcoberta, 6; Ferran, 20 and Aragó 241) and the fifth in Sant Cugat, to the outskirts of the Catalan capital (in the Avenue Cerdanyola, 8 -10), and the last in Madrid (ayala, 3). In each one of the full ones, our specialized personnel offers a highly personalized attention and, from among those more than 5.000 references that we prepare, it recommends the product that better he/she adapts to each client’s necessities.
Without a doubt, another of the pillars of Lafuente is Colmado Quílez (Rambla Catalunya 65). Many of our clients remember to this store of the one it from Barcelona as the first of the city in caring Scottish whiskey or in the one that could buy you condensed milk. Colmado Quílez, been founded in 1908 as pastry shop, transformed into having filled in 1940 of Julián’s hand Quílez and it passed to be part of our family in 1974, when Quílez passed over it to Andrés Lafuente, the only person that he knew that it would negotiate the full one with the same seriousness and perseverance that him.
Our attention for the detail has been worth us diverse prizes and recognitions of the sector. Among them, the prize “Olive of Gold”, granted by the “Asociacio de Gourmets d’Oli”; the prizes “Tienda gastrónomica” of the year 2007 and better Page Web of 2008 of the guide Gourmet; the prize “Nadal de gastronomia” of 2008 (to “Dignificación and comercializacion de los productos gastronómicos”); and the Special prize of the Jury of the prizes”Barcelona, la millor botiga del món” of 2008 (granted by the City council of Barcelona).
